A woman friend I know I suspect is schizophrenic. She constantly tells me she consistently hears voices. Now on top of that symptoms she told me she's suffering from very intense panic attacks. Its getting so she can hardly get out of her apt. I feel really sorry for her. Any suggestions. I recommended foods rich in B vitamins since they are the antistress vitamins.

Hi. Does she seem open to the notion of going on meds? That's the only thing that really made a difference for me. About the agoraphobia, I'm not sure what helps that because I had it too. I think trying to force the issue can make it worse though. Maybe counseling could help? You're in a good place for helping her, she feels safe to tell you these things. Steady support is really all you can do.

I appreciate you replying to me. She is on meds for hearing voices . IDK if she's on any meds for panic attacks. I give her support. Glad I can do that. Your suggestions make much sense to me.
