I have a question about Invega/Paliperidone. I respond well to either, but I am still worried about it's side effects. I was reading the list of possible side effects and they are pretty scary. I need to keep taking meds since I've tried numerous times to beat this without them, and failed every time, and ended up going back in the hospital, so I accept I need to stay on my meds, but I worry about some side effects. I already had one permanent side effect associated with InVega a rather embarrassing one, and despite responding well to the meds, it still worries me. Does every scitso drug carry such high risks like invega, or are there less dangerous ones?

I was on Invega Sustenna for 5 years and it was really good for me. If you have any side effects be sure to talk to your doctor. I learned awhile back not to look up side effect stuff online because a lot of the info can just scare you, better off just speaking to a doctor or pharmacist

They all have similar risks but what each person gets is variable in response to each drug.

I respond well to it, it's just when I looked up the side effects list it scared me. Tho my therapist said in her professional opinion she hasn't seen anything too severe in the 10+ years it's been around. The fact remains tho I do need to keep taking some form of medication. It's taken me 7 years to finally accept this. I'd take meds for awhile do good go off them then slowly but surely cycle downward again until I get hospitalized. I tried and failed to beat it with will power alone. I just want to live a productive life and I can thankfully, it's just some of the med side effects really are pretty serious. Tho I was told they are pretty rare some of the really bad ones. I guess I have no choice but to take it and hope for the best, tho if I can get something with possibly less severe side effects it would be nice.
