Is it typical or normal for psychotic symptoms to just disappear out of nowhere?

I had this happen recently and while it is nice. It is also confusing me.

I didn't get my antipsychotic changed or anything.

My diagnosis is Major Depressive Disorder with psychotic features by the way.

If your mood state improves they should disappear in theory, however I don’t actually know anyone who has psychotic depression so I don’t have any proof this is the case.

My psychotic symptoms went away over a week or so. I realized one day I wasn't hearing voices. It had taken a few months on my med before this happened. I think it is normal and a good sign.

I have the same DX. Sometimes my symptoms are worse than other times. I won't know why. The medication won't have changed. It might be related to the mood. Or something else. But who really knows what is normal? Enjoy not having the symptoms. Kit
