Does anybody here have any experience with taking CBD oil as a way to treat Schizophrenia? I was diagnosed about 4 years ago and have been taking Seroquel for almost 3 years now and it has worked wonders for my mental state but has made me gain 90 pounds and has sent my cholesterol levels through the roof. It would be nice to find a more natural alternative that doesn't have so many physical side effects. I've been doing a lot of research on CBD oil and it sounds promising but I wanted to ask fellow schizophrenics if it has worked for them. Thanks.

Problem with CBD treating schizophrenia is that the CBD products we have are pricey and in order to use CBD you need a much higher amount. I bought a bottle of CBD gummies and each gummie is only 25mg oc CBD in a bottle of 20 gummies. In order for it to "treat" schizophrenia you need probably as much as 1000mgs of CBD a day. So that's like 2 bottlees of 40 dollar gummies each day.

Thanks for the info. It is something I plan on talking to my psychiatrist about because I am fed up with how my body has transformed for the worse while on Seroquel. And the problem is that most, if not all anti-psychotics cause weight gain so I can't exactly switch to another one and expect a huge difference. |
