So I used to be 160 lbs and lost weight. I was starting to actually like the way I look then I starting taking risperdal and started gaining the weight back now I'm scared to gain the weight back. Any tips on how to avoid wanting to binge eat.

One thing that helps me avoiding binge eating from meds is keeping myself busy. Whenever I have too much time on my hands I tend to eat out of boredom like many people do. Also, I eat and buy healthy food and try not to buy large amounts of junk food so it's harder for me to get to. If I have a lot of junk food in the house I'm much more likely to binge on it. I also drink a lot of water and other no-calorie drinks like black coffee and teas throughout the day, this helps my appetite from getting out of control
I know weight gain is frustrating, good luck __________________ R.I.P mom 8/6/55-1/15/16 “All the darkness in the world cannot extinguish the light of a single candle.” -St. Francis of Assisi

Weight gain is difficult. I try to have lots of veggies around so when I want to snack I snack on those.

I'm probably the only person who loses weight on anti-psychotic meds.
