Since I'm still not clear on which is which sometimes.

Anyways, there is something in my wrist and it wants to come out! My wrist is physically hurting. Upon examining the outside of my wrist everything looks normal. I don't see any swelling or anything like that. But there is definitely something in there that wants to come out. It hurts and it feels spiky on the inside, like it is hurting me from the inside out.

Not sure if it is a delusion or a hallucination or if it is real. It sucks. Am going to try to put some cream or something on my wrist. Maybe will help it feel better at least on the outside.

Stephen Colbert got Tom Brady to chug a beer and finally eat a strawberry | Metro US

At 8:50 into this clip, Tom Brady massages Steven Colbert's arm. My chiropractor has done similar to my hands and arms. I would recommend this before any kind of carpal tunnel surgery. Its UNBELIEVABLE how many twicks and tweaks there are in our poor computer hands!

It moves around and sometimes changes arms. Right now it is in my right wrist.

Well, you DO have a matching set! Maybe not identical, but close enough for all practical purposes!

But im pretty sure if you go literally digging around, what you WILL find is a one-way ticket to the hospital. And im also pretty sure you dont want that. Round-trip, where you drive, okay. What do you think you need to do?

It could be both a delusion and a hallucination.....like I could feel my watch strap even when not wearing it. It was a hallucination, but I also thought it meant something, a delusion. It doesn’t sound real though.

Thanks unaluna. I don't want to go to the hospital, that is for sure. What I did on Sunday when I was having a similar problem was I put a lidocaine patch on it and used a heating pad and it made the hurting part go away. There's not much I can do at work for it, although I could try putting ice on it to see if it relieves the pain, other than that, I just have some cream right now with me that has some lidocaine in it. It might soothe things enough where it isn't hurting. I don't know if I can focus on something else but I think I need to. I think I need to get distracted from it.

Thanks SP. I'm still having trouble sorting out what delusions are and what hallucinations are. I know when I see something no one else sees it is a hallucination or when I hear something no one else hears but I'm having more trouble with stuff that is in me that others say can't be in me like black gooey stuff and now possibly this painful spiky thing. I just need a way to soothe the pain that is radiating from my wrist and then get distracted so I don't think about it and dwell on it and then it will probably go away. I hope. Or migrate. It should be easy to get distracted at work but it isn't. It's hard.

Do you have a drs office you can ask for advice or referral for like a physical therapist or orthopedist? Im not sure what kind of specialist applies. But repetitve motion pain and injuries are a real thing and shouldnt be ignored or dismissed.

I see my regular doctor in about a month. If I am still having trouble with it I will bring it up to her and see what she says. Although last time when I told her my knee had been bothering me for a few months she just said take ibuprofen. Although now my knee isn't bothering me anymore so maybe she knows what she is talking about. But she didn't examine it or anything. Although to be honest, I think she was more worried about me just having gotten out of the hospital than anything. She kept saying my name a lot so I must have been dissociating some. But my therapists think I am having psychosomatic issues at the moment so this may be psychosomatic as well. Not entirely sure what that is but I think it is where something in the brain makes physical pain or makes physical pain worse. If it doesn't go away in a few hours when I get off of work I will put some heat on it. That should help. HUGS Kit

Yeah i take ibuprophen when my knees get wrecked too. Or my arms/hands. Maybe try some for your hands? My dr tells me not to take it too often, but probably my liver is half-ibuprophen by now!

When I get physical /tactile hallucinations I need to cause more tactile stimulation to overwhelm the sensation. Find something that feels unique but won’t hurt you, a brush, a dish pad, or special things made for tactile stimulation you can get for like autism. These can be like glove format. Gently run the object over parts of your body. you don’t want to cause pain, just sensation. If you get actual sensation it can overload your senses so the fake info can’t get in, that sense just gets overwhelmed.

I think that's a good idea. I once had the idea of handling ice whenever I got certain urges to do things, but I never did it. I think it would be too much of a hassle to grab ice every time I got a delusion or something. I like the suggestion of doing something more mild. I once had a stress ball as well but it never really took hold for me in terms of a habit. Something like that might help though.

I think it could be something in the metaphysical sense real. I sometimes get a burning sensation in the fingers in my right hand. It started happening around the same time as my 1st psychotic break. Funny enough it is an actual medical condition though. I remember telling a psychiatrist when he asked and had nothing to do with the psychosis. So in my opinion it is most likely real cause I get where you're coming from too.

I used lotion and an ice pack last night and it seemed to help. I got interrupted by phone calls for work so it didn't work maybe as well as it could have had I not gotten interrupted. But at least right now I'm not feeling any pain or any painful spiky things running through my arms. Thanks for all the replies and help. I still don't know if it is real or hallucination or delusion but as long as I can help it go away that is what matters. Thank you everyone! HUGS Kit

Thanks unaluna. This sounds like it could be a neurological problem. It is causing you some distress. You have tried various topical treatments. If it continues perhaps a trip to your primary who can refer you to a specialist.
