Any differences between Seroquel and generic?

I've been on seroquel and generic for a while.
I was on seroquel brand name then tapered down and switched to generic, went back up and thought it seemed odd that it fidnt knock me out as much as in the past.
I got given brand name again as generic was out of stock, and it really kicked in, making me dizzy how it used to.
I'm wondering has anyone else had differences with generic brands?
I always thought they did exactly the same thing but I guess I was wrong.

Never was on the brand name, I don't think. I have noticed difference in brands on Adderall and Provigil, though.

My mom takes it. She has to take the generic due to her insurance but she says the brand name works better.

It sounds like they are different drugs so I guess there would be a difference.

Sorry to hear that her insurance wont cover it that sounds unfair! Hope the current medication is good enough

From what I've heard, the generic has the same active ingredient as the brand name. However, the inactive ingredients may be different. I guess that might affect how powerful the drug is.

I don't know how it works in Australia, but here if you really need the brand name, you can have the doctor specify that on the prescription.

Legally there can be a 10% difference in dose but it only really matters if you’re on the bare minimum of medication....I for example had some issues with the generic of abilify when it first came out but then I adjusted.

I have taken both, did not find a difference. I have noticed other drugs that are not the same. Clonazepam generics seem to be very different in my opinion.

Oh, sorry, wasn't very clear. I meant that I found a difference between generic and brand name with both Adderall and Provigil.
