So, as many folks know, I have bp 1, but, I spend much, maybe most, of my time these days dealing with psychotic symptoms. I was just wondering how frequently people here think they have to deal with these issues? Once a month? A week? Every day?

I had it almost very day for about 8 months, then, had a nice 3-4 weeks with really none and now, it is kind of back again a bit every dayish, I would say. Sometimes, just a bit of paranoia. Sometimes, voices or other auditory stuff. Sometimes visual or derealization or other things.

Anyhow, just wondering where I fit in the scheme of things. Thanks, guys!!

With our meds, we hear things every day, but not voices, just like
Possible trigger:
. The medicine keeps the voices and the visuals away usually. We will start to see things toward the end of our shot's duration, though.

So we guess we kind of are every day...

Everyday, but with medicine it’s to a minimum. With not the right medicine or not enough medicine, it’s full on voices and delusions everyday. And anxiety. It’s unbearable.

Honestly I rarely experience it any more because my meds are perfect and the whole thing was caught early. I had one month of living in a nightmare ....constant voices...would not stop period, plus a few visuals, olfactory and tactile hallucinations. Sleeping 2 hrs a night because I’d finally blackout even with the voices constantly jabbering. Plenty of delusions back then too. It may be gone now, but it’s impossible to forget. I used to come here because I wanted to help, and share my solutions. Now I have friends here.

I'd say between a few times a week to several times a week but they don't last as long now. I had a hallucination in the shower today. Tactile. But I haven't heard voices since Saturday.

My meds are good right now, but I experience psychotic symptoms only occasionally, and when I do have them, they are not debilitating (thank you meds!)

I don't want to share which psychotic symptoms I have because they are kind of triggering for me to talk about.

Yes, it can be. It's a tactile hallucination.

Maybe talk to your doc if it's something that worries you...

Not at all anymore. I blame a lot of so called medicine for those side effects. Ironically the Pdocs reaction was to add more meds.

I get suspicious a lot. Based in reality I think because I notice every tiny little detail-I think they call it hyper vigilance. not sure. But things jump out at me, especially when I am anxious or stresses or due for more Thorazine.

I get tactile and visual stuff, usually about bugs and ants. Sometimes a take a PRN Thorazine or check out what is going on and do anxiety reducing exercises and mindfulness stuff and get away from stressors and that helps. I also get alot of shadow beans ( I think they are called that?) I always called them shadow people. This is my first time ever talking about it.

I hope you all can relate.

In the last month I have been doing a lot better, not so much with the visual or tactile. Still suspicious though. And paranoid about hackers (I did have a real one).

I always feel like I stand out and that people are saying and/or making indications about me. It's tedious to live this way. I miss how I used to be before. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't ideal -- I still had a lot to deal with mentally. But I've gotten progressively worse. I wish I knew what to do to recover.
