How often do you think your supposed to sleep and what are good things for sleeping?

I just heard a psych central podcast about sleep that said that only being in the bedroom for sleep and time with your partner is the only things you should do in bed.

What do you think?

I have constantly heard from health sources that an adult should get 7 hours of sleep per night

and if that's true, I am years behind. 7 hours a night?. I don't get 7 hours a week

I suppose what works for 1 person may not work for aother.

someone might think that they sleep better with no noise, complete darkness, someone else might want background nature sounds or music

I watch TV in bed. I don't usually have trouble sleeping though.

I think that it's different for everyone. I have heard the same thing, about only being in the bedroom for sleep and being with partner are ideally the only things to engage in in bed.

I think it varies for everyone, too - I watch tv before bed and often watch videos on my tablet before sleep, but rarely have issues sleeping. But I think the things mentioned are still good practice and could help enhance resting.
