I found an interesting reddit post;
"Colors get enhanced with increased conscious awareness and reduced autopilot awareness. Our body benefits most by becoming autopilot. It's what learning is about. So perhaps learning is reduced. This could occur due to GABA effects. Reduced learning may increase the novelty of life more and allow you to focus better. Because everything will be more interesting because it makes less obvious sense right away. Try to realize that consciousness and learning can be opposites in a way. Learning aims to reduce consciousness and increase habit and auto pilot behaviors. Consciousness is comes in when you experience novel things." ... Hear me out.. |

Is there a way that you all have found to be less impulsive? I was thinking about firing my psychiatrist and now I feel like I shouldn't. It might shake things up too much.

Stopping Abilify and psychedelic spirituality made me less impulsive and to make better decisions. But also cuz I'm 25 next year and the BRAIN is almost finished developing!.. Unless I have to wait until 30..

I'm gonna try 200mg of NAC (N-Acetylcysteine). It's an amino acid prodrug used for tylenol overdose in the ~20g range.
Allergic reaction can happen. But people with anhedonia and schizophrenia take it in combination with sarcosine - But sarcosine made my heart beat weird so I stopped. Also, apparently it's supposed to be good with my acne antibiotic? (Minocycline?).. Cool.. "Preclinical evidence shows that the minocycline and N-acetylcysteine (NAC) combination synergistically improved cognition. Meta-analyses of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) with minocycline and NAC have shown some efficacy signal for positive, cognitive, and negative symptoms of schizophrenia. Hence, the combination may be more effective than either medication alone. The objective of this article is to highlight the potential role of the minocycline-NAC combination for the treatment of schizophrenia. The antipsychotic-minocycline-NAC combination is promising and has the potential to concurrently treat positive, cognitive, and primary negative symptoms. RCTs are warranted with the minocycline-NAC combination to address the unmet clinical need in schizophrenia." Tomorrow I'm gonna call the doctor about the 10mg Dexedrine IR. If he says no, then I hope that this supplement will work for cognition. Cuz I'm tired as hell right now - Maybe I'm getting the cold? Who knows.. |

"NAC had a weird effect on me.
After a month in (1200mg 1xday) I became more empathic and sensible. Too sensible. Im naturally stoic, distant and cold, but I felt emotionally warm. I would smile so easily. Once I cried because I was angry and sad that there were so much hate and judgment in the world. I mean, WTF? I would feel things in my chest and get sad at people's ignorance, I wanted to help them so much I was also able to empathically understand things I dont know, maybe Im dead inside and feeling those thing are actually normal, but it was a weird month that one (I stoped because I ran out of NAC and never bothered to get more)" |

Hm. I'm on Abilify, I just don't see how that could cause impulsivity. I feel like I do all the right things, like I take my meds and stuff. Maybe I'll ask my pdoc about ways to reduce it. I'm kind of into non-pharmaceutical ways though.

I also remember a period of time where I could just be on Effexor and Abilify and my life was fine.

Well I spent time learning about NAC and one article talking about it's metabolite in some mice that can cause "pulmonary arterial hypertension", then about the heart - And my moms mitral valve prolapse and what happens with it - What doctors hear when they check the heart with a stethoscope...
Learned about "heart sounds", then I laid down, folded my ear and checked the sound of my heart - "lub dub, lub dub, lub dub" - I became less freaked out with this compulsion knowing that my heart was checked before and he said "Nothing worth commenting about". So yeah... I don't think that I enjoy reality very much. But it's interesting =] |

I was on a stupid dose - 400mg every THREE weeks + TEN milligrams a day. New psychiatrist took me a few days to convince me to get switch to Invega.
If the class action lawsuit is still open, I'll have to sue them for all of the money I spent on - ".. I need next dopamine.." *Dopamine hit*.. *Opens tab of chemicals* *Dopamine hit* - "What does this one do?" *Dopamine hit* - "I think I might order" *Dopamine hit*, "Imma deposit money" - *Dopamine hit*, "I have to wait now.. Woo!" *Dopamine hit*, *Sleeps*, "It has arrived in the mail" *Dopamine hit*, *Walks to the post office* - *Dopamine hit*, *Waits in line* - *Dopamine hit*, *Hands on the mail* - *Dopamine hit*, "I can't wait to open this" - *Dopamine hit*.... You get the point.. It goes on and on.. It's 90% better now. I wouldn't worry too much about it unless your impulsivity started right after taking Abilify. Normally people can be impulsive varying from time to time in their lives. Edit: It is but a sad tale once upon a time in the isolated prairies where racing shadows leave the hunter frozen still in madness, blizzards of snow, darkness, and haunted to just needing to be sagged in the ward. I felt the bad energy unclench my hands and then most of my impulsivity solidified and fell backwards into the abyss, leaving me feeling empty from the time I have wasted in regret. The bad trip water swirling in that house in the same very room that needs to be sagged as well. Don't listen to I - But instead, run far away from that place in time and space.
