I have two years until university exam and honestly it already stresses me. I feel like I'm not doing enough, like, not at all. People say that I have so much time but I can't help but feel like I'm running out of time. Like there's something holding me back from doing better, trying to do better, and even as overcoming that is in my hands, I feel like I'm choosing NOT to. I keep berating myself for not doing better, not trying more but honestly I'm scared of change because I've had.. this for a long time and I don't know how to do things differently. Do you guys have any advice?

What you can do is based on your situation and how you are doing. You can't really control the situations you will be in, but you can take care of yourself.
Anyone can 'do better' if they're doing well and in a good situation. Maybe there will be times when taking care of yourself is all you can do, and that will be the best you can do at the time. Most people end up in a spot like that and it's very important to have people who can support you at times like that. So, you seem to be pretty stressed out. That's okay. Recognize that you are doing the best you can at this moment - and that that's okay. Learn to let go and relax - that's okay too. Dealing with the stress will have you be doing better and so be able to do better. It's difficult and might seem paradoxical, but once you've done that then you can honestly evaluate where you can reasonable longterm improvements. |
