To at least make an attempt to feel better about myself, I made a list of goals I wish to accomplish. Hopefully, they're somewhat realistic.
  • Go to school in a different city.
  • Find employment that I’m happy with.
  • Get my ODSP sorted out.
  • Move out of the house.
  • Move to a different city.
  • Meet up with Steve and Tanya.
  • Meet up with Crystal.
  • Meet up with Rocket.
  • Meet up with Angie.
  • Learn to play piano.
  • Learn to play drums.
  • Start drawing.
  • Write more autograph requests.
  • Start some sort of diet plan.
  • Join more groups on Meet up Ottawa.
  • Join Psychiatric Survivors of Ottawa.
  • Learn how to animate.
  • Start writing autobiography.
  • Drive to PEI.
  • Drive to Nova Scotia.
  • Open a baking business.
  • Get my bike working.
  • Ride my bike around the city.
  • Ride my bike in North Bay.
  • Ride my bike in other cities.
  • Write positive notes and affirmations and stick them where I can see them.
  • Plan possible reunion with Montana’s staff.

I like your list some of the things on your list need a lot of determination and work so maybe in time you will focus in on one or two that are a bigger passion. It can be harder to commit a great deal of time to one passion when there are that many things you want to do and it can end up holding some people back from commiting to something. I'm not talking about the more doable things, I'm talking about the more intense things, like learning two different instruments vs. learning animation vs. baking business vs. writing a book and so one. You should pick one or two of those and really go for them. When you get older you will get the chance to do more of them, but its good to have a more defined direction when you are young... if you can. I sure couldnt hone in on one passion when I was young I was always dreaming of numerous things.. sigh :P

Great idea! I think you are on the right track to obtaining your goals. I have a long list of goals as well so what I do is categorize them into what is attainable each day, week, month, year or 5 years.

It's a wonderful distraction tool. If I start to feel down about things I will make a mini list of what I need to obtain a certain goal that is on my mega list.

I think it's really awesome you are working on your self-development you should be really proud of yourself! Congrats

[*]Plan possible reunion with Montana’s staff.

I am back at school, but it's on-line and in my home town.

ODSP was sorted out, though I wasn't on it for long. I should be thankful for that.

I moved out of my parent's place and moved into my friend's place. It's almost as bad as living at home, so I hope to find a new place in the Spring. Can't win.

I went to Toronto this past spring for a trade show and saw my old boss.

I couldn't get my bike fixed, so I bought a used one on kijiji for $50. I took it to North Bay and biked around in it. I'll have to get a new one in the spring.

I tried to plan a reunion, but it didn't work out. People cancelled at the last minute, or didn't respond. There was also a tornado warning and one touched down in the area so it might have been for the best.
