Can people please share any of there self transformation stories, more so mentally.
Have you had Any real drastic changes for the better or dug yourself out of a "hole" you never thought was possible? For instance, you were in a very deep and dark place dreading life but came out eventually to where you are in a much better place, What's changed in result of it aswell, more friends? More outgoing and confident? Completely new perception on life you never thought you could have? Anywhere along those lines you know Need it to keep me hopeful and motivated on my own journey with it all |

no offense but to me at first your title and post sounds like someone is trying to do thair homework or research on members here.
to answer your question of stories of self transformation stories all you need to do is read the boards. you will find lots and lots of posts where members have helped their selves with their mental disorders. thats what this whole community area of forums is about.... sharing information and our problems and how we over come our problems. just keep on reading and posting on the forums and you will see how others have helped their self... one thing that I do is when I encounter a post where someone has posted about an improvement I go back in their past posts to see where they were and that shows me that if they can go from this to that so can I example if you are having a problem with depression go to the depression boards and read there. |

There's a section in the Depression forum that has several success stories, nels13245. Maybe that's what you're looking for. Sending many hugs to you

I have posted how my life has improved but not sure I did it in any specific area because I had so many issues going on at the time I made a major change in my life. Then I learned so much more about what I had been dealing with all my life....
Whole other aspect of why tje major improvement getting away from the environment. I had been dealing with suicidal major depression, major anxiety, anorexia, PTSD & throw in emotional neglect all my life.....so my success didn't really fit into one success location but all have mostly recovered completely.....an amazing journey the last 11 1/2 years. __________________ Leo's favorite place was in the passenger seat of my truck. I'm not in a great place right now but I have been in positive recovery before. Namely, a big difference between now and then was my support network.
At my high point, I was surrounded by a very good network of supportive family and friends. I have moved since then and am relatively alone with the exception of my spouse (who is a great support). The single biggest difference however is the lack of my ability to attend a support group. The one I attended in my former community was of great positive influence. There is one here that is promising however I have attended only once in the last four months on account of my work schedule. |

I hope that you are able to attend the new support group. I have found that they had helped me in the past. It's really great to hear how supportive your spouse is, you are very lucky! Take things day by day, and I wish you all the luck in the world!

Me again,
So things have taken a drastic upturn lately. I removed the biggest trigger from my life (work), started attending that support group, started making a conscious effort to battle my anxiety (purchased a Muse), and took out my art supplies again. Life has vastly improved. It is livable these days. |
