Lately, my depression and anxiety have been double-teaming me. My T recommended that I journal my thoughts and feelings. Since I am going through a divorce, she mentioned that I write a letter to my ex. It felt so freeing, expressing all my frustrations, anger, and unsaid words on paper. No, he will not read this letter, but it was so helpful. The best part was shredding it after I could read it without any emotion.

Since it worked so well with the ex, I decided to write a letter to depression and anxiety. Again it felt thus freeing writing out all my anger towards my illnesses. I even compared them to my adult-onset diabetes; to stress the illness point! I know it sounds weird, but it helped me accept depression and anxiety as a part of me that I need to control, just like blood pressure or diabetes. They are an illness that needs to be taken care of with medical help!

Thanks for reading! God Bless!
