I have bought myself a new present. It’s a new knife to hurt myself with.

Sounds like the gift that keeps on giving the whole year round!

I'm not certain what advertising your pride in your new tools is meant to solicit.

Do you want to know that many of us don't even know you, and desperately don't want you to use your new gift?

Do you want congratulations for stepping your self harm game up?

Do you want hugs and support?

All I can say is that I am very sad for you right now. Hurting yourself shouldn't be a sport. I hope that knife ends up in the trash, and gets traded for an adult swearing coloring book, or a rubber band, or some headphones that give you heavy doses of music...anything but enabling your self harm.

This is a question for anyone- what are your reasons for self mutilation? I used to have my own, just curious what yours are.

Love, Marilyn
