I can't stand myself right now. I'm so disgusting and bad. I'm overwelmed, can't stop crying. I haven't self harmed for months. But tonight, the urges are really strong.

I'm so sorry you're feeling like this When I feel that bad I always try to distract myself until the feeling passes. I personally find cold showers and going for a jog help to snap me out of it and get some of the bad energy out. I hope you feel better soon

I'm feeling a little better today. Had really bad dreams last night. But the self harmed urges aren't quite as bad. Thanks for replying to me.

I think bringing this out in the open is a huge step and a strong move on your part. Keep the channels of communication open with anyone safe at home and here and yes keep yourself distracted with other positive things. I am so sorry you feel this way and huge hugs to you.

Thank you for being such a safe and supportive friend. I've met so many nice people. I'm going to try and read some. That's one of my favorite distractions.

HUGS @Emily2019 Self harm urges can be hard to withstand. It's good you try and distract yourself. That's great! Doodling or drawing can also help me when I'm having urges. It doesn't always help but it sometimes helps. My T is having me draw mandalas and it is amazing that there do seem to be themes that come up. Maybe you want to give that a go. HUGS Kit

I doodle and in the adult coloring books to. They are really helpful. I'm going to the hospital today. I'm definitely taking some with me. Take care, emily
