Hi everyone, does anyone else have this trouble? I get in a cycle of SH and it will go on for days until the cycle wears itself out. I can't like stop it in the middle. It just has to keep going until it feels finished. I don't know how to interrupt it. Any ideas? Hugs Kit

I know it seems cliché however I find distraction in doing the one thing I love more than anything else. I dance. I know it's easier said than done but find the thing that gives you the most joy and do that instead. If it isn't possible to carry out what you love then write about it. Keep a journal or make a scrap book of the thing(s) you love.
Hope this helps. - B x |

I go through bouts like this. It hadn’t happened for about a year. Maybe more. Then last month, I gave in. It usually happens to me during times of acute stress or when I’m experiencing a mixed episode. (This time it was a mixed episode). It goes away when the episode ends or the stress goes away. Like you, I don’t have an effective way of stopping until it’s ready to stop. Sorry I can’t help, but I can relate and understand.
