I'm trying to quit self harm. It's tough. The urges get so bad. Takes the life out of me. I try and try to not self harm but I'm so afraid I'm going to relapse one of these days soon. I'm doing all that stuff like exercise, walking, yoga, deep breathing. I'm doing spiritual stuff too like
Possible trigger:

Hi slumberkitty. Congratulations on the success you have had in refraining from self harming. I am sorry you are still struggling with what might be called invasive thoughts. This article talks about it. How to Deal with Invasive Thoughts
Online support groups may be helpful - google search online support groups for self harm. Having someone that you can talk to or help reduce the pain you may be experiencing. I like a very strong cup of peppermint tea. I buy in bulk like at amazon. It helps take the edge off of my emotions. When I get urges, I remind myself that cutting won't solve whatever is distressing me. I also use the app "Quit That" and checking how many days I've gone without self harming helps because I don't want to screw that up. I'll instead keep myself busy, perhaps by screaming to some older Linkin Park songs or going for a walk.

Drawing on myself helps, like going over old scars with a pen or just making new lines. I know it’s really hard to not cut sometimes though. Seeing the old scars and remembering why I did them really bothers me, so I tell myself I won’t want any new ones please.

I really want to SH even though I'm really close to hitting my goal of 100 days. What is wrong with me?
