I had the coolest lime green elephant pants with a matching lime green and white polka dot blouse that had wide cuffs and a lemon yellow mini sweater to wear over it...I thought I was the cat's pajamas in that outfit!!

the time when families were blessed to have one car--now it seems like most families have two or more; same with TVs and other electronic devices

Hey, Goforward! Wasn't that music great?

How about remembering when the Beatles sang on "The Ed Sullivan Show"?

Anybody remember Thunderbird cars? They were less popular when I was born. But I remember the song, "She had fun, fun, fun 'til Daddy took the T-bird away"? Was that Jan and Dean? The Beach Boys?

Hobby stores, model kits and paint by number kits everywhere. And the smell of that glue, whoo.

Didn't that glue sometimes cause a la-la feeling? So, some people were really into that.

I got in on the model car, airplane popularity. I don't know any kids who do anything like that now.

Macrame? Plant hangers, wall art, purses, even dresses. Oh yeah how about crochet dresses and vests?

I didn’t play with dolls. But I loved my hot wheels and the orange tracks. Had two slot car sets and that thing maker.

I played with cars, too.. But I never had any except a few, not in any set. Those racetracks looked like lots of fun.

What board games did you all play as a child?

Oh, we played a lot up north at the cabin. Monopoly, go, something that had a pair of dice under a clear dome and you pushed it. Eggervation, cribbage, uno, clue, chess and checker, life, oh there was a whole cupboard full, I can’t remember them all.

We found a Barbie dating game but it didn’t get played with often cause my boy cousins didn’t want to play it and they outnumbered us girls.
