I didn't eat the wax bottles, since they were tasteless. But I liked the flavor of the other wax items. I haven't tried regular candles, though!

How about Bazooka bubble gum? It came with a little cartoon strip in it, I think. The gum was tasty.

I never cared for bazooka gum tho I liked the cartoons. I was more into clove and black jack gum....although there was another....hmm, lucky stripe? Came in bright stripes and different flavors if I'm remembering right. Reminds me of a song....Does your bubblegum loose its flavor on the bed post overnight?

Oh, man...I want some of this candy now!
Fun dip? I liked the stick—my favorite!! not the powder. Pop rocks? Those dots stuck to slick paper? Candy necklaces?. I loved the bottle caps |

Yes, I remember striped gum with different colored stripes depending on the fruit flavor. Now what was that called? I want to think the word "fruit" was in the name.
Now I remember it was called Fruit Stripe Gum. There are even sites for it. Case in point: Fruit Stripe It's even sold on Ebay! Last edited by Travelinglady; May 04, 2018 at 12:38 PM.. |

Ah! I probably got the cigarette lucky strike confused with the gum fruit stripes. It ran out of flavor fast tho. Anyone remember what they ate at the double feature movies? I liked snow caps and dots.

Yes but eating those things caused them to get stuck in my teeth! I ended up just sucking the caramel off and spitting rest out, lol.

I remember the Sugar Daddies and Sugar Babies. The Babies did stick to my teeth, too, so I usually got the Sugar Daddy.

Some of you probably remember the old Saturday Matinee Movies for kids. They were a zoo - no adults to be found. We sometimes sat in the balcony and, having bought root beer barrels (a hard candy) at the concession stand, we would throw them, aiming for the heads of kids sitting below (Ouch!). Sure...The root beer barrels tasted good, but they were best used as weapons of mass distraction. We were little savages.
