I've had it, I've really had it. 106 degrees today with the dirty (smoky) air. Yesterday I had to run an errand, even though I was so anxious about the heat (heat and meds- UGH). Sure enough, as I was driving home, a block from my apartment my car started smoking. Don't know what's wrong, but I blame the extreme heat torturing my elderly car.

In the NAMI group I facilitate 3 out of the 8 regular participants are IP! I've spoken with all 3; each one told me that they feel the extreme heat just pushed them over the edge. This is especially difficult because we really didn't have a winter. Mild temperatures and no more than 2 days of a bit of rain.

Ah, the whole climate thing is scary.

Hotter than hell!!!!

My horse trainer has let me stay at the ranch.....so it is also a working around the ranch vacation between the legal/business stuff I have to take care of. It is awesome but the heat is excessive right now
Sounds hot.
Also sounds like your enjoying working around the ranch...😊

It’s not ideal at all. That’s an understatement...
Take care

we are finally getting our 'seasonal rains'; can't say they are heavy rains, nor much water, but every little bit helps,, i'm sure you understand~

i've been watching this alarming old tv show by National Geographic, called: Strange Days on Planet Earth... it's about more than global warming,,
it's MY idea of a horror show~~ O.O

Mine, too.
I'm so glad you're getting some rain, though. What a God-send.

I posted photos of last night's sky in General Chat. Eerie, apocalyptic. The extreme heat is causing more wildfires, then the fires create their own "weather" - increased heat and strong, hot, dry winds - which in turn fuels the fires. These fires are devastating, but I do wonder if it's nature's way of balancing things out. The fires are covering so much of California, hundreds of people have lost their homes, some people have died. Many of these people will leave the state and many more won't come to this state to live because of these fires. Perhaps it's an act of Mother Nature that will drive prices down in California and more people will be able to afford rent.
