Anyone have issues with this milestone? I'm really dreading it, just something else to haunt me.

Hm-m-m-m... well... I sort-of remember what 60 was like I guess. No, I've never thought too much about particular age milestones. I've not been especially fond of the aging process in general though. Plus I don't tend to be conscious of the fact that I'm as old as I am. In fact I often have to remind myself that, hey... you're 70 years old! Anyway I guess "you're only as old as you feel" as the saying goes. Or perhaps... "age is just a number". And then there's "if you don't mind... it doesn't matter." Under any circumstances... hope turning 60 turns out to be a positive experience for you.

I turned 60 last year, it's just unbelievable to me that I'm that old. To my two older sisters it makes them feel really old having a baby sister that's 60.

I'm 64 now, so 60 doesn't seem so bad. I don't remember that it was a big issue for me, but I guess some folks sort of consider 59 to be middle age and 60 to be entering old age? I agree that the number shouldn't matter so much. I still feel much younger inside. It'll be okay. Try to enjoy the day and not worry about the number. Okay?

I turn 59 in 2 weeks. I can't face the fact that I'm a year away from sixty and still fighting trauma from the 1960s. I feel hopeless.

I'm turning 67 and ....yeah, we do carry it with us...
I remember being a teenager and thinking everything would be great when I left home...
you imagine that it is external...
Don't beat yourself up about it ----- I know you are far from being alone...

I felt the same way but it happens whether you like it or not. Lol

Actually what makes me feel old is 2 of my kids are 40+ and im a great grandmother.

It's not fair I know. I still feel 30 inside although the outside is falling apart.

I am suffering from what may be called denial or delusion.

I look at the kids and say "It is only the young people growing up. I stay the same age."
