Fortunately, no head injuries. I did
Break some bones in both feet,
And unable to bear weight for long.
There is a lot of discomfort, and I am
Just reminding, that slips and falls happen. Older or younger.
The ground is much harder as I age.... And these bones are more
Brittle.
Care and kindness to all today.

I'm sorry this happened to you. We have a dog I have walked daily for all the years we've had him regardless of the weather. (He's becoming quite elderly now.) I haven't slipped & fallen on the ice, during the winters, for a couple of years now. But there was a time when it seemed like, if I hadn't fallen at least once, my winter just wasn't complete. I never broke any bones fortunately. However, one time I recall in particular, I hit the back of my head on the asphalt. As I recall I was loopy for a couple of days thereafter. (Some might say I still am.) I hope your poor feet heal quickly & completely.

Oh, my. I'm so sorry that happened to you. I just found out I have osteoporosis, so falls worry me even more. But I'm obese, so i'm hoping the padding would help.

I fell and broke my heel last year. No fun. So sorry to hear you're having to deal with that kind of pain and disability too. Hope it gets better soon.

Falls are so frightening - and of course, dangerous. I'm terribly sorry to hear of how you've been injured. I wish you speedy and complete healing.

An excellent reminder. I fall easily because of my joints. I wanted to be a dancer but my hyper mobile joints prevented it.

I fell today and bumped the back of my head. But I seem to be okay. It's so scary to fall, yet so easy..

OK .. I am soo new but please let me offer that while I travelled to a very populus place (with extensively reputable medical facilities !) I encountered a Dr who was renowned for his expertise .. when I asked about aging he said to me "Two Words" .. I said "What ..?" .. he repeated "Two Words" .. I stayed still and just listened to this man who was revered by his doctorate constituents and associates .. he peered over his glasses and leaned in towards me as he stated the Two Words I would to this day never forget .. and as he gestured, he said two words to me .. he said .. "Don't . Fall .." I was rather taken aback .. especially at the simplicity of it .. but since then I hav learned .. and hav understood (the total Wisdom) of this statement .. "Dont . Fall ." .. wow .. so Many just deteriorate in a hosp bed .. so mahy contract some lower/lung/respitory failure after.. Falling . so many will fade away or languish after being prone too long, etc .. but yes. this Dr said to me Two Words .... "Dont . Fall ."
so .. I repeat to you, dear, new friend .. the words of wisdom I heard and which resonated within me .. DONT . FALL .
( !!! )
with love and warmth .. ~
