Hi tinyrabbit. I just added a long post to this thread. I wrote it before I read your post just now. It does help to see that his decision is irrational and not based on logic. As I say in my post, I think people are very nuanced and generally don't make a lot of sense to me, in the same way that I'm finding I don't make sense to them!

People don't make sense to themselves, either! It sounds to me like he was just very self-absorbed. None of this means you are somehow worthless or that you did anything wrong.
