Maybe I watch too much anime but I have fantasies about having my own harem. I fantasize about having hot powerful women obsess over me and fight over me.

I will use a couple animes I watch recently as an example.

High School DxD: Main character gets involved with a family of devils and is made into one himself to save his life. The head of the devil household is this hot, powerful, respected woman with long red hair and big breasts and is nicknamed "Ruin Princess". She makes the main character her "pawn" to do her bidding and acts like a strong mother/older sister to the other members. There are also a bunch of other powerful female characters in said devil house. As the series progresses, the main character becomes stronger and proves that he's willing to fight to protect the women. All the other women including the head one gradually become sexually interested in him and fight over him.

Is it wrong if I try to pick up girls in a dungeon: Gods from various mythologies get bored in heaven so they come down to earth and make an RPG like game world. Adventurers join "familias" which are like families where each god is the head and supports the adventurers and monitors and enhances their stats via "blessings". The main character wants to save a girl in the monster dungeon but instead is saved by a powerful female swordmaster. He falls for her and wants to become stronger so he can be with her. His goddess is a hot female that helps support him but also loves him and gets jealous when he is into the swordswoman but supports him anyways. He ends up attracting a bunch of powerful women from goddesses to elves to badass warriors to talking cat girls. He even has the Goddess Freya obsessing over him and forcing him into dangerous situations to increase his power so she can have him to herself.

So yeah I fantasize about having my own harem. I want to be like the main character in a harem anime where women want to fight over me and help me become stronger. I also sometimes want a powerful woman where I can be kinda like her "dog" or "servant" and fight for her and do her bidding.

Anybody else have fantasies like this or am I just a weirdo?

A weirdo. Sometimes I think of a sanctuary in hell that, unbeknownst to the world, is maze of interaction between animal and deity. An amorphous subset of space where those go to distance and define themselves in a mystical type of healing reserve. There is no such place. I think you're a charming guy, and you will find someone great, be it your goddess or warrior. And I think you can have your harem too

no you are not strange or weird. in fact if you google the word harem you will find that, that term is an old term, the new term for this life style is called polygamous, polygamy. as far as I know this is not legal in the USA but some religions have it anyway. the most recent one in the news that I know of was Warren Jeffs and the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

I know many that fantasize about having more than one woman (threesome) or more (a polygamous relationship), in your words a harem.

The term "harem" is also used in anime. A "harem" anime is when a male lead character has a lot of female characters into him, typically while the male character is ignorant to the girls liking him.

It's just that the allure of being so liked by women that they would fight over me is too hard to resist, considering I've never been popular with women, you know?

Having more than one other person in a relationship doesn't necessarily imply the inequality and creepiness of polygamy though, such relationships can be more consensual and equalitarian if they are based on polyamory.
