Good or interesting reads on sex and bonding brain chemistry.
There is no discussion on the wisdom of how to be happy or to use this information to have a healthy, stable relationship in connection with this human brain chemistry.

BBC Science | Human Body & Mind | Science of Love
  • Dopamine - Also activated by cocaine and nicotine.
  • Norepinephrine - Otherwise known as adrenalin. Starts us sweating and gets the heart racing.
  • Serotonin - One of love's most important chemicals and one that may actually send us temporarily insane.
  • Oxytocin - This is released by the hypothalamus gland during child birth and also helps the breast express milk. It helps cement the strong bond between mother and child. It is also released by both sexes during orgasm and it is thought that it promotes bonding when adults are intimate. The theory goes that the more sex a couple has, the deeper their bond becomes
  • Vasopressin - Another important chemical in the long-term commitment stage. It is an important controller of the kidney and its role in long-term relationships was discovered when scientists looked at the prairie vole

Study: Oxytocin ('the Love Hormone') Makes Men in Relationships Want to Stay Away From Other Women - Lindsay Abrams - The Atlantic

Only about a study on Oxytocin

Right now it's believed that Nasal Oxytocin Spray can help achieve orgasm in people who have secondary anoragasmia (can't have an orgasm because of SSRI use). I need a gallon!

I guess I am just screwed, I cant do hormone replacement because I take nitrates for chest pain, and my kidneys are all but failed (I am working on less than 15% function) so add that to my meds (medical + psych) and it is no wonder I cannot bond, and my equipment has completely quit functioning. (yes even the ejaculate might only be enough to moisten a Q-tip if I am lucky.)

Does anyone know if that's available for use for people who aren't on anything but can't have an orgasm with a partner anyway? And is it possible to bond with someone if you can't have an orgasm with them? I thought the opposite was true, that I couldn't orgasm because I couldn't bond. I'm probably one of the few with this problem though...

Yes that’s why sexual bonding outside a religious context ie Christianity is so dangerous because if one partner abandons the other they have no recourse.

Fluoxetine (prozac) and Citalopram (celebs) 100% effect sexual desire. Fluoxetine does so much more than Citalopram in my experience.

If you're not on anything then you could try increase your Dopamine and Serotonin level yourself with 5HTP (it raises the serotonin levels just like SSRIs do.) To increase the Dopamine you can buy L-Tyrosine. Both are supplements you can buy from amazon or eBay or most health stores.

Don't take 5HTP is you're taking any SSRI or st. johns wart because they can interact with each other.

what about trying Horny Goat Weed with a kidney/liver cleanser like milk thistle (liquid milk thistle)
