So the past couple weeks, whenever my girlfriend so much as mentions having sex or anything of the sort, I just feel really uncomfortable and turned off and want nothing to do with it. It isn't her, she's very attractive, I love her, and she's not bad at it, but for some reason I just can't stand the thought of it.

I can relate.

I stop counting after 6 months.

I don't desire to be intimate with my wife due to my depression. Usually I would become overly aroused when I'd take certain meds (wellbutrin, depakote).

Now with all the negative words that have come out of her mouth, I feel too vulnerable to be intimate or turned on.

Are you feeling depressed? I gather so. It in itself can create a lack of desire, and some of the meds that treat it can reduce desire and ability, too. That's one possibility. Or you could be in the pushing away state of being borderline, when you want to reject someone for a time. This subject would be a good one to bring up with your doctor, if you can. I hope you will feel interested again before too long.

Hey Travelinglady,
Thanks for your reply! But I'm not on any meds at the moment because I haven't been able to find a new therapist that I can open up about my problems to so I can get a proper diagnosis. Did you read my post about me fearing I have borderline or is it just coincidence that you brought up borderline here while I'm trying to see a therapist about it?
Also yes, I've been quite depressed.
