Hey I finally looked at the pictures! That's a lot of skin that's cut off. I didn't realize it would be so much. That's bizarre. And it didn't occur to me (before this thread) that the foreskin just completely pushes back when it's erect. Penises are funny. And I like the natural look. His part didn't look like I expected (light & frank conversation)

So here's a funny memory (and yup, this is "frank" penis discussion): When I was a tiny little kid in the bathtub with my sister and brother, my little brother showed us his penis and said "look, it's a little man and he can blow bubbles" -- then he would pull the foreskin back so the head popped out -- just like a little bubble-gum bubble. That's why I remember the foreskin clearly and why it took me years to realize that adult parts weren't quite what I expected.... I finally figured out what they were missing. Hehe His part didn't look like I expected (light & frank conversation)

yeah, i didn't know it would be so much either.

Does it? That was unclear to me... It doesn't look pushed back very much in the pic... Uh... Is it that it moves back and forth during thrusting?

Where are the guys on the thread?????

;-)

Are we looking at the same pic? Where there are 2 side-by-side pics? In the one on the right, it's erect and the head is completely uncovered where the skin is pushed away from it. It looks almost like a circumcised penis. Only on the left (when it's not erect) does it look way different from a circumcised penis.

Maybe I'm missing something..... Here's the exact picture I'm looking at (that's the same person in each image):

Uh... Yeah the head is completely uncovered but isn't the foreskin still covering most of the rest of the shaft? Its kinda hard to tell... But I thought it was... If so... Then does it rub up and down the shaft with thrusting? Maybe I'm imagining things...

Male circumcision is very different from female circumcision/FGM. I'm not going to get into it in this thread, in the idea of keeping things "light and frank," but I just wanted to say that. I've done a lot of reading about FGM.

I also want to mention that Wikipedia is not to be taken as an accurate source of information, because anybody can add and edit the information.

I've seen both circumcised and uncircumcised penises from working in an adult peep show, but I haven't had sex with both. Uncut penises look like elephant snouts (when flaccid). I felt nauseous when guys stretched that skin. I don't know why; I also get nauseous when other skin is stretched, so I don't think it's penis-related. I wouldn't turn down a guy, regardless of whether he was cut or not, if I wanted to have sex with him. Frankly, I'm curious if it feels any different; I know many women say no, but I've heard some say yes. I could call it "research," LOL!

Not that I would know, of course....

but when the guy gets excited and becomes erect, the foreskin rolls back exposing the head. The foreskin is very thin and rolled backs to about an inch below the head. It stays right there until after orgasm. You really don't even notice it.

I MUCH prefer the uncut version. There is a famous porn star named Mark Davis who is uncut and such a hunk. Not that I would know, cuz of course, I'd never look at porn either! :-)

That guy isn't really my type, but the cigarette turned me off even more.

There are vibrators you can buy that are little men with a hat, but penis-shaped.

Know what's fun about penises when they're cute 'n' small? You can have a puppet show! His part didn't look like I expected (light & frank conversation)

What a hottie!!!

I kinda think I would like uncircumcised. It did seem more like what I had expected in the back of my mind (based on having seen my bro when we were little). But will see if I'm ever involved with anyone "uncut" (<- never heard that slang before!).

Lastest Medical Update on Circumcision :

March 11, 2007

Circumcision - Tough Choice for New Parents

Extensive research published in the Lancet reports that male circumcision cuts the risk of HIV/AIDS infection in half. Trials conducted in Africa found that uncircumcised males were twice as likely to catch the virus as males who had been circumcised. The foreskin of the penis has a very thin lining that easily suffers abrasions during intercourse, making it easier for the virus to gain access to the body.

Critics point out that the research was conducted in Kenya and Uganda, both countries where males resist using condoms for cultural reasons. Also, males there tend to have more partners than males in industrialised nations. Because of these conditions, critics feel the findings were skewed. They also point out that, by the time a baby who is circumcised now reaches adulthood, there will likely be a vaccine for HIV. Many people feel that circumcision is genital mutilation, and studies show that males who are circumcised as infants have a lower pain-threshold as adults. So, the decision for new parents is a difficult one.

Whether or not males are circumcised, they should continue to use condoms.

> The protection that proper use of latex condoms provides against HIV transmission is most evident from studies of couples in which one member is infected with HIV and the other is not, i.e., "discordant couples." In a study of discordant couples in Europe, among 123 couples who reported consistent condom use, none of the uninfected partners became infected. In contrast, among the 122 couples who used condoms inconsistently, 12 of the uninfected partners became infected.

i guess they are fairly small scale studies in comparison. but that being said the first study suggests that condoms are 100% effective for preventing HIV transmission when used correctly and consistently.

male circumscision, on the other hand... is... thought to reduce the risk by half. i'm not sure on the statistics for HIV transmission with respect to unprotected sex to know whether using condoms inconsistently is comperable to male circumscision or not...

seems that it doesn't matter whether the guy is circumscised or not... so long as he wears a condom...

http://www.thebody.com/content/art17057.html

part of the trouble here is that circumscision has a long history of being all tied up in religious rites and rituals.

there was an attempt to advocate abstinence (rather than promote condom usage)

and now there is an attempt to advocate male circumscision (rather than promote condom usage)

still... this is really interesting to me. thanks for finding the study rhapsody :-)
