Hello, I am new to the discussion board. I'm in my 60's and had orchiectomy about 25 years ago due to uncontrollable pain in my testicles. That pain was caused by a botched orchiopexy surgery to correct undescended testes from birth at age 10. The pain existed from that time on. It has been a nightmare to say the least. There have been many problems including sterility as one might imagine. I have been on testosterone replacement and will be for the rest of my life. Needless to say, there are many issues resulting from all of this. I am at a point in my life where sexual relations with my wife dont occur anymore. I am seeing a counselor but wonder if there are others out there with similar problems.

Hello eammon: I noticed this is your first post here on PC. So... welcome to PsychCentral.
You mentioned you're in your 60's. I'm now 70! I did not have the physiological problem you've had. However I was diagnosed with prostate cancer at around the age of 50 & ended up having that removed. And that, along with other issues I've dealt with, led to impotence. So I know what that's all about. One additional forum, here on PC, that may be of interest would be the relationships forum. Here's a link: https://forums.psychcentral.com/rela...communication/ There is also a men-focused support forum. It's not an active forum as you can perhaps imagine. (The guys don't seem to find much to post about there. Actually I don't post there myself. But that's another story.) However here's a link to that forum as well: https://forums.psychcentral.com/men-focused-support/ And then here's a link to a PsychCentral Professional article, from PC's archives, that may be of interest on the relationship between sexual dysfunction & anxiety: The Relationship Between Anxiety Disorders and Sexual Dysfunction | Psych Central Professional I hope you find PC to be of benefit. |

I should probably have been more to the point. There are multitude of problems that go with orchiectomy, hormone levels, moods and ED to mention a few. I have seen counselors over the years and have been seeing for the past year due to a fear of sexual relations developed in the past 5 years. I just cant seem to "get over the finish line" in regards to oral sex. It is the only sex we have due to my wifes post menopause dryness. She doesn't like to use lubrication. Pardon me for being so graphic but I have only been able to ejaculate in her vagina. We dont have intercourse anymore as I said. I love giving her oral and I like to receive it but when I get close to climax I stop. I have had strong negative feelings about my semen ever since I was told I was sterile 40 years ago. I always ejaculated in her vagina in hope that somehow wife would become pregnant. This ejaculating in her mouth has me scared. In 40 years of marriage I have never done it. I wish I could orgasm without the semen. Sorry for being so graphic.
