I definitely identify as male. I use he/him pronouns. But I'm also not exactly like a traditional male. I still prefer to shave my legs, like floral scents (mainly because they help calm my anxiety), and still use foundation make up because of acne. But otherwise dress like a guy and have a male haircut.
I've began transitioning, but I feel overwhelmed and a lot of anxiety. I don't hate my female body. And I already have a serious hormonal imbalance, I don't want to deal with taking Testosterone on top if it, causing me more symptoms and problems. Which sucks because I have a feminine voice but dealing with my already existing hormone imbalance has been a nightmare. I don't know if I'm a trans male or a Demiboy. Or if I even need a label? |

Well... I'm definitely not the best member, here on PC, to be replying to your post. But I noticed you had yet to receive a reply. So I thought would at least offer what I could.
You wrote you don't know if you're a trans male or a Demiboy, or if you even need a label. I think one thing I would say is you don't need a label. You can just be whoever you are. But I do understand the desire to have a label... something you can hang your hat on, so to speak, something that identifies you as part of a particular group. One other thing I think I can say is there is no one way to be trans. In fact there are probably almost as many ways to be transgender as there are transgender individuals. If you feel as though you are transgender then it's your prerogative to define what that means to you & how you choose to express it. And, while there may be some people who think one has to do this or do that before they can say they are trans, those people are just wrong (in my humble opinion.) As far as the question of being a Demiboy goes, I'm afraid I'll have to defer to others on that subject. Although I've waged a life-long struggle with my own gender identity, I'm old now. And I'm simply not familiar with all of the different gender-related terminology that's in use today. Hopefully there will yet be other PC members who will be able to weigh in on your post. Best wishes... __________________ "I may be older but I am not wise / I'm still a child's grown-up disguise / and I never can tell you what you want to know / You will find out as you go." I'm not transgender so take my advice with a grain of salt. What I have read and heard from many trans people there is often a stage of intense questioning of one's gender where they are unsure of whether or not they really want to transition which is where a lot of the non-binary type of identities fall. Some people become actually pretty comfortable at this stage, some decide that they don't want to actually transition, and some decide that the only way to finally ameliorate their psychological discomfort is to move forward with transitioning. I guess my point here is that what you are experiencing sounds pretty typical for many trans people, you may want to see if you can find a therapist who can help you through this stage especially with co-morbid problems like anxiety and depression. I enjoy the videos of a trans-woman YouTuber who goes by Contrapoints. She has taught me a lot about trans issues and might be helpful to you.

"I yam what I yam and that's all what I yam," said a great philosopher - Popeye the Sailor Man. That's the best philosophy I know. You don't need a label. I don't advise messing with you body chemistry.
