OK so as far as dreams go, I am still trying to wrap my head around this one. Here goes:

In this dream, I was in another world on a journey. In it, were populated by monsters and characters from several different video games that I've played. The land seemed war-torn and mostly destroyed with humans and monsters struggling against each other; both sides trying to survive. Despite this, most of the human characters seemed avoidant and scared of me and the monsters weren't hostile or aggressive to me at all.

So anyways, I get to this town populated entirely by monsters. One of the monsters approached me and told me "he wishes to see you" in a cold sounding voice. I asked the monster "who's he", and the monster told me "our master" and pointed at a platform in midair supported by large stack of books as it's support. I approach the platform and this giant monster that looked like a gorilla with a bone mask but was the only character in this world that didn't appear in any video game that I've ever played signaled me to come up to him. I came up to him and had a seat with him. He then told me, "I know why you're here" and handed me a sheet of paper.

The paper was a numbered list with about 12 rows and 3 columns. Each column in each row had something like a code or number in it except all of the columns in row 4. When I read row 4 all I saw was the word "Suffering" in blood red capitol letters. That's when my alarm went off and woke me up.

What is even up with this dream. I'm still trying to wrap my head around it.

It's a weird but sort of fun dream in my opinion, DarknessIsMyFriend. I think it's worth noting that the humans avoided you and the monsters did not. Could that have something to do with your self-perception? Just a thought. Sending many hugs

I don't see myself as a full-blown monster, however, I do see myself as a societal outcast who can't understand or fit in with "normal" people. I get along with my fellow outcasts the best; some of them could be seen as "monster" by regular people.

Maybe you are keeping yourself out of reach, and are suffering because of it.

I'm not keeping myself out of reach intentionally. I just have a hard time connecting and relating with the majority of people.

I find that I'm too different to fit in with the crowd without changing my personality; which I am unwilling to do. I'm not a fake unlike a lot of people these days I want to stay true to myself. It's just hard being different and still connecting with people.

But yeah, I do feel lonely more often than not.

HI DARKNESS!!!!

This dream itself is not a mystery. If you think about everyday life, you can easily see how MOST, not all, dreams can be equated to that. You like games, you play them often, so there you are. Our ex-roommate used to play a very popular one (name of which escapes me) and that one sort of sounds like it. I play PC games...so I am not up on the more sophisticated ones. Anyway, recently I dreamed a friend of mine was going to run away and get married. IRL, another one did just that several months ago.

Ya but still. It isn't that uncommon for me to play games with the sole intent of escaping reality to avoid hurting.

Also, as of late, I've been getting more into single player games. I've always played a lot of online multiplayer games, such as MOBAs and MMOs. Used to play a lot of league and WoW and played Hots regularly even getting high Diamond in it up until a couple months ago but got tired of idiot teammates that clearly don't have the sense to play team games so I'm taking a break.

Bought some single player games off Steam during the black Friday sale. Immersing myself into a story driven game world isn't something that I've been able to do in awhile and I decided to do my new high end gaming PC some justice and play some AAA titles with good graphics. Bought the entire Witcher series (and enjoying their online CGC Gwent BTW) and some Assassin's Creed games. Binge played the entire Witcher 3 storyline in a week during Thanksgiving break to escape from loneliness (having a PC that can play it maxed at 2k is awesome), only to feel more empty afterwards because of the likeable characters and romance scenes and what not. Doing another playthrough on Death March (their hardest difficulty) and it's a joke difficulty wise for me.

Anyways, the dream I mentioned in this thread had monsters from a variety of games. It had a lot of monsters from the Witcher series, Warcraft games, and some Resident Evil games for some weird reason and a couple other games too.
