I can't sleep. My medication for insomnia used to near knock me out, and I would sleep peacefully for hours. I now wait until early dawn to sleep. I become restless and agitated at night. When I awaken in the mornings, I have about 5 seconds of peace before I remember who I am, my life, and my responsibilities. Then I wonder why the hell I'm still alive. I think of ending it. Anyway, I hate sleeping because I'm at peace for 7 hours then everything comes rushing back.

I'm so sorry, sadveiledbride Please don't be so hard on yourself. If you meds aren't working anymore, can you try to change them? I'd suggest to talk to your Pdoc about this and see how it goes from there. Hopefully he/she will be able to help you. I'm so sorry, I know it's hard. Sleep is very important and the lack of it can have seripus effects on our mood. Please don't give up. I hope you'll be able to find a solution. I'd suggest to talk to your doctor about this and see how it goes from there. Anything that could help you. I hope you'll be able to find the right meds combination for you. Remember that we're here for you if you need it. Feel free to PM me anytime. Let me know if I can do something to help you. Wish you good luck! Let us know how it goes. Sending many hugs to you

What is your sleep routine like? Have you had a sleep study?

Hope you feel better! Keep pressing the doctors and if one doesn't seem to be able to help find another. It took me years to find the right med for my sleep apnea, some doctors just don't get what being tired all the time really means!

It took me two years of sleeping 2-3 hours a night to find the right combination for sleep.
