I dreamed I was in elementary school and during class everyone was at their desks. Suddenly the door burst open and a woman dressed in black, with two armed soldiers, came in. She grabbed me by the head,
Possible trigger:

She held me up against the blackboard (or rather, greenboard, it was one of the green ones) so that my feet dangled a few feet above the ground. She spoke to me saying that I was chosen to live, or something like that, I found it difficult to understand her through the pain. She dropped me and they left, but when I looked up all the other kids in the room were
Possible trigger:
I ran out of the room and through the hallways,
Possible trigger:
There were armed men in the halls, some trying to kill me, others acting like I wasn't there.

Wow. The mind can produce some horrible things all right, sheesh. Here's a couple of things I've read which may be relevant. It's not exactly what you described but there are similarities:

To see children being abused in your dream implies that you are lacking a voice for your own inner child. You feel that a part of your own childhood is lost.

And also:

To dream that you witness a murder indicates deep-seated anger towards somebody. Consider how the victim represents aspects of yourself that you want to destroy or eliminate.

Yes.

Thank you for your response.

This makes a bit of sense. A few years ago, in an altered state, I split and there was two of me, an adult me and a child me. The adult me wanted the absolute destruction of child me, screaming profanities and urging death. A friend was with me who guided and strengthened child me into 'winning.'

I guess the victim is my entire childhood that I want to destroy, a childhood which is also lost either because I want to destroy my entire childhood - or my childhood is lost, so I want to destroy it.

I'm having trouble reconciling with what I've said with the dream symbol interpretation, but it makes sense.

Thank you.

Yes, it really can. If it's the mind producing these things at all. This one is maybe a 7/10 on fear level for me. I had to drop out of university because I stayed awake for weeks after a dream.

I see 'possible trigger' boxes have been added to my post - do you know how to add them?

Here's the thread where we discussed that feature when it was first introduced: New trigger code
