I've tried everything from melatonin to clonazepam and I still don't sleep. I have anxiety and my mind doesn't stop.

There seems to be some thought that CBT is a secret remedy for sleep-related problems. Here are links to 3 articles, from PC's archives, on the subject plus DocJohn's article on sleep disorders which provides links to quite a few additional related articles & one additional article on the subject of anxiety, insomnia & depression:

Interesting skeezyks. I never knew that CBT could help with sleep. For me, Abilify helps, but it actually isn't normally used for sleep. Some people take it in the morning.

I’ve heard the CBT thing before and it might be worth a try. I have had a little success with a warm shower and guided meditation. I am kinda nd of a night owl so I just do better if I can shift my schedule back 3-4 hours from everyone else’s. I used to have a job that I could walk to in less than 5 minutes that I didn’t have to be at until 10 a.m. that worked out pretty well for me. I hope you find something that works for you soon.

I second the sleep study thing. I found out this week that my oxygen drops to 78% in my sleep. I would have NEVER known that had I not got a sleep study done. Do you have trouble falling asleep only? Like once you get to sleep can you stay asleep? Avoid caffeine as early as noon if you can.

Thanks, I've asked my doctor about a sleep study and apparently he didn't feel that was the answer and I didn't push it since my Insurance is crappy. I have a lot of anxiety and when I lay down that's when everything comes up. I have tried CBT but not for sleep just for general feeling better about myself. I'll get a book and look into it more.
