I've semi-recently been experiencing an increase in sad dreams, without a comparative increase in stress in waking hours. Before, I occasionally had some sad or bad dreams - not enough to really note - but now it seems I can't have more than three consecutive sleeping periods without one of them ending in a sad dream.

I'm wondering if that's significant or not.

Note that I have Complex PTSD and therefore am always under a high level of stress - but there has not been any changes to that stress level in memory.

I'm sorry I don't really have any idea why you would be experiencing an increase in sad dreams. But I hope you experience an end to this period of sad dreams soon.

Do you think you are subconsciously working through some old issues?

I don't feel any familiarity with what I'm dreaming (even with strange dreams that do involve my past, there's usually some "sense" of what it's attached to) so I don't think so. If I am, I am so far removed from it now that there's nothing I can do to resolve it consciously because I have no idea what the dreams mean.

I don't remember them anymore. I rarely do after waking, and my Complex PTSD has destroyed most of my memory anyway.
