On Friday I randomly got so tired at work I was falling asleep standing up and I had such a hard time functioning and I didn’t perform very well. Then today I took a 20 minute nap because I’ve been taking a lot of naps. I woke up because I thought I saw a green koosh ball bug on my wall. I jumped out of bed. I heard that dreaming during naps is unusual. And that dreaming during 20 minute naps should absolutely not be happening unless your a narcoleptic. I do have a lot of symptoms of narcolepsy including muscle weakness from standing up when I’m tired. Does anyone have any opinions? Should I get this checked out?

Hi!
I've had night terrors before while napping, quite often in fact, but if you're having symptoms that are symptoms of something else, or if you're just concerned I'd say it's definitely best to get them checked, even if just to put your mind at rest

I used to have it often. I’m not sure whether I have narcolepsy but I do have C-PTSD and nightmare is one of the symptoms. I don’t have it as often anymore. Like Thunder Bow said, trying to reduce stress might help. I’m happier and more stable now so I don’t have it as often.
