I overcame a recurring nightmare last night in my sleep.
I've always been afraid of oceans and bodies of water in my dream. I've always been afraid of what lurks in the ocean such as sharks and killer whales. The oceans are always murky and menacing. Last night I dreamt I was with my professor at the beach. The ocean was clear towards the shore but murky in others, and there was some concerns but no fear or terror. I told him the ocean always scared me, but I could never get over that fear unless I did what scares me and I asked him to watch me to make sure I wouldn't get hurt. So I jumped into the ocean and started to swim. I looked around underwater and saw a beautiful blue tang. Other people began swimming in the ocean playing games, and I felt safe with them and with my professor watching me. The recurring ocean nightmares is one of the scariest for me, so what does it mean to overcome that fear within a dream? |

Wow, interesting dream.
In a lot of dream interpretations I've read, the ocean, sea, bodies of water etc., represent the emotions[!] so, perhaps your dream is telling you that at some level you've become less fearful or more accepting of the way you feel about certain things? |

The professor is your higher self watching over you. You are not so afraid and anxious anymore about your life.
