Does anyone have any experience with these super long sleep studies? When I was setting up the appointment today the lady said I’d be there from 9PM-5PM the next day. They have to do both the overnight one and then the narcolepsy and idiopathic Hypersomnia one during the day. I’m just wondering what it’s like. I can’t have my phone but will there be a TV or anything? They have to provide some type of food too right?

I went through a few overnight sleep studies when it was suspected I had sleep apnea. There WAS a television in a common room in both places. No food where I was however. They're not expected to feed folks but perhaps in some cases maybe they do. Maybe you can bring a snack??? Best to ask...food at the wrong time may screw up your metabolism and compromise aspects of testing. I'm sure they'll advise you of all the details in time. Here's to it all going well. Bring some magazines and such too perhaps.

I called the place again today and they will have a menu I can choose from for breakfast and lunch and they also have cable TV. They don’t take Medicaid and I swear the places that don’t take Medicaid are always super nice. I wish I wasn’t a nervous wreck over it.

It was last Tuesday night. As expected It didn’t go very well. I didn’t sleep much. I did get some answers but I’m wondering if I’ll have to do another one. I see my sleep doctor on the 31
