I was doing research on the topic of shame, and discovered that it has been affecting my life in innumerable ways. Even though I'm becoming more aware of it while I'm talking with people, I still feel like what I have to say isn't worth their time. I need help feeling like I can be myself, like I can talk about things without worrying what others think of me. What strategies do you use in order to curb this feeling?

I often feel the same way. I try to speak up even when I feel that way. I hope by doing that I am respecting my worth.

Yeah that's tough...I'm growing speaking at toastmasters and such...but my own fear of shame judgment and paranoia...fear of criticism...has and is still causing me to live my life out of fear and not out of respect for my own needs and wants.
