There have been a few times where I've been out in public, on the verge of having an anxiety attack, and have heard voices talking about me. Usually making mean comments about my apperance or laughing at me.
Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

I'm usually in a social situation/setting where there are already people talking when I have my anxiety attacks. I do feel like (or think) that everyone is laughing at me or talking about me though.

If you are alone when you hear these voices, I'd think the anxiety is more paranoia and you need to talk to your psychiatrist. But if youre hearing voices around people I'd suggest using CBT/Mindfulness techniques to figure out if you're actually "hearing voices" or if your anxious (irrational) mind is changing what you are hearing to what you may be thinking. Does that make sense?

Makes a lot of sense. Thank you so much!
