Does anyone here has any awkwardness in the way they talk or socialise?
Like sometimes having a higher tone sounding voice than usual. Stutter and couldn't come up with the right word. Voice crack etc... Hope I'm not the only one here. Last edited by stayingafloat; Feb 24, 2019 at 08:35 AM.. |

I have an issue where I talk and get really loud and can't control my volume. And then I stop talking entirely when someone comments on my being loud.
I tend not to talk to people in a conversational way, as to avoid this. |

I'm so sorry you're going through all of this, stayingafloat I'm sure many people here can relate to what you wrote, especially those here on PC. You're definitely not alone in this, as this thread has already shown. I'm struggling a lot with social anxiety as well. It's not easy to find the right words and I'm always afraid to embarass myself. I'm so sorry you're going through all of this as well. Do you see a therapist? Maybe that could help. You could learn new ways to deal with your anxiety. Keep practicing. Just do your best like you're already doing. That's all you can do, after all. I hope things will get better soon for you. I'm here for you if you need to talk about it. Remember that we're here for you if you need it. Feel free to PM me anytime. Let me know if I can do something to help you. I'm so sorry you have to deal with this

Yes, I know how it is to be socially awkward. For what it’s worth, I tend to find other socially awkward people to be more trustworthy than extremely outgoing people with very smooth social skills. Just be yourself. You’ll attract the right people in your life that way. |
