Idem.
I feel terrible when someone forces me to go beyond I can go. I hate it. Sometimes, even people who live with you and it’s supposed they know your condition, show themselves insensitive. I hate to be forced and feel terrible as if I had been disrespected. __________________ Social Anxiety and Depression. Cluster C traits. Trying to improve my English. Hi AzulOscuro,
I also hate it when people try to force me to do things. Are you being forced to undergo ECT? -- Yaowen |

Does ECT stand for Exposure Chock Therapy? If so, no lol, I practise a more controlled one Progressive Therapy Exposure and I’m fine with it.
I used the term “chock therapy” not literally to refers to those moments you feel forced to go beyond your possibilities in a point in time. Those moments are terrible and there are not valid but to remember that you are not a normal person. __________________ Social Anxiety and Depression. Cluster C traits. Trying to improve my English. ECT = Electro Convulsive Therapy -- as though shocking someone could really be therapeutic. For anyone anxious because of overwhelming childhood stress I think it is the last thing that a knowledgeable person would consider. Unless of course you have no understanding of psychology and just wish the sufferer would stop upsetting you.

Shock therapy? I'm not sure what you mean but I don't have a high opinion of what I think it is. As you said, it feels very disrespectful and insensitive on their part. Therapy will not ''work'' without respect and adequate sensitivity on the part of the therapist or other. If the person has no knowledge of psychology or zero compassion and respect they may try this.
