This thread is thought to be a challenge for you. No matter how easy or difficult may seem what you did to a “normal” person. For us it’s a triumph. Write it here. Let’s get out of our comfort zone but without taking high risks. ok? little by little. Piano piano.
I encourage you!!!! You can do it! A side note: You could also write here what you would like to get, even when you still see it as something unreachable, maybe we can give you a gentle push. __________________ Social Anxiety and Depression. I’m not gonna let this thread sink down. lol!
Everyone now, getting out of his/her comfort zone. I’d like to ride my bike other than the mountain, in the city. So far, I was really scared because there are few trails for bikes and I’m scare of how people drive their cars. And also, because I would be very ashamed if would fall down or don’t know which trail to choose. But I want to use my bike. Not only for me and for the environment but also because I want to take my doggies in their trolley. My male doggie is old and he can’t go walking to all the places I want him to stay in. __________________ Social Anxiety and Depression. Cluster C traits. Trying to improve my English. Well, my incursions out of my comfort zone are always uncomfortable no matter what. But every once in a while, every once in a blue moon, very rarely, things go quite well! And I smile! I begin believing I might finally have broken through! Cured! An angel has taken pity upon me and given me a pardon!🤩🙏 But shortly afterwards, a day or two maybe, I get a funny feeling that things might be still be a struggle, so I venture outside for a walk and boom, I'm back at square one again. I go to a store to buy something again and boom, I'm fighting not to lose it completely...
But I have some peaceful places I go to - nature. And I've started seeking out other nature spots, too. It's like a spiritual pastime, and a challenge. That's all I can say about that.👍 __________________ "A flower falls, even though we love it; and a weed grows, even though we do not love it."- Dōgen

Searching for new places to discover seems like a good way to spend time in.
I’m not doing too much lately since I feel anxious about everything in the street. I can’t stand how few responsible many people are as to what keeping distance regards. So, I barely go out or go for shopping other than walking my doggies for a little while. I’m only doing a little of distance communication through audios or the phone and this is already an effort. What you do, being contact with nature, and with nature alone is the only thing I can see viable now. __________________ Social Anxiety and Depression. Cluster C traits. Trying to improve my English. Yes, good on you @AzulOscuro and thank you. You're trying and making efforts too, so that's good. It's such a curse of a disorder to be encumbered with.
I read a research study on what psychiatric disorders give people the worst quality of daily life. I would've thought certain other diagnosis would be the worst mentally and emotionally, but it turns out people with symptoms including social phobia rank highest on the 'misery meter'. Here's the link if you'd like to read about it: Psychiatric News Sending hugs, friend. __________________ "A flower falls, even though we love it; and a weed grows, even though we do not love it."- Dōgen

I’m not a friend of these kind of researches. Suffering is very subjective and each case is unique. There are many circumstances around a person that can effect and make somebody’s situation worse or on the contrary, contribute to kind of make it more manageable. Said that, I agree that social anxiety affects many aspects, if not all, in someone’s life. __________________ Social Anxiety and Depression. Cluster C traits. Trying to improve my English. I felt the study to be quite validating because I've suffered terribly with Social Phobia, but no one seemed to grasp that fully not even doctors and psych professionals. Because it is generally considered to be one of the 'milder' disorders. But this study shows a clearer picture. They studied 8000 individuals in their research too. Yes. So, they know what they're talking about, friend. __________________ "A flower falls, even though we love it; and a weed grows, even though we do not love it."- Dōgen

I see why these kind of researches might be of some help though.
At least, it’s a way to put these kind of illnesses and some personality disorders that are seemingly viewed as less urgent problems to solve, in a higher place in the ranking. Hopefully, it’s gonna help to do specific researchers for therapies and better meds. __________________ Social Anxiety and Depression. Cluster C traits. Trying to improve my English. Going out of my comfort zone has maybe paid off sometimes, it’s just not me, it’s just not a good fit or what I want to do. I tried to present and teach a class to others regarding my area of expertise, it just didn’t really work as I’d planned, it was not me or what I wanted, my family wanted that career for me, I wanted to do something else, but I tried for awhile.
