Confused Can it be cured?

I have not problem accepting that all my pain is psychosomatic.

But how do you make it GO AWAY?

I'm sorry I don't think I have any answers to offer you here. However, here's a link to an article, from PsychCentral's archives, on the subject of psychosomatic pain... what it is & how to begin healing from it. Hopefully some of the suggestions in this article can be of some help:

I usually just repeatedly notice or ignore as command to self, depending on how I feel about what is going on right now.

Have you established that it is truly psychosomatic and does not have any physical cause?

Our minds are amazing in the way that they can switch emotional things into physical issues. Some-one very close to me had three operation to rule out causes for abdominal pain only to find out that it was grief.

In the short term pain killers may help. Accepting the pain is there for a reason and breathing into our bodies to relax the muscles may be useful. Sometimes I use heat pack for my muscle pain. Are you seeing a therapist to work through the issues that you may have?
