In psychotherapy, I resolved the problems I had that fueled that terrible need that seemed like it controlled me.

I work hard on my mental health problems, and do my best to be reasonable. I have Complex PTSD and struggle with being polite when it gets triggered.

Many years ago, I trolled people on the internet, not realizing why I did that. I was conditioned to fight back when someone was arrogant or belittled me. That was part of how I was raised. My family belittled me so when I experienced that in my life, I went on the attack, covertly, in the privacy of my home, behind my computer screen.

Has anyone else experienced this? Are you aware that you might be bullying others?

It's a miserable way to live and in no way could possibly end well or provide happiness. I am grateful I got help and now, I am better.

I was verbally and physically abused as a child and made a vow to never be like that; I broke the cycle. The Verbally Abusive Relationship by Patricia Evans saved my life. If we are aware of what happened to us, we can stop it.
