Odd experience....

I got stopped earlier today by the Police. I was out, enjoying the sun, and minding my own business. I was walking around right near where I live, when this police car pulls right up alongside me. Cutting story short, it was a case of misidentification. I appreciate the mistake, that they meant no harm at all, but, it left me shaken up, as it’s pushed up some unpleasant memories, memories of my last dealings with the cops....I got raped by someone I knew at the time. I called the police (to report crime) and, to say they weren’t understanding is a complete understatement. These cops today were nice enough, they could see I was spooked. It’s hit hard, being triggered, just out of the blue. I needed to share.

I'm sorry that you are struggling right now! I do completely understand how you feel about being nervous around cops. I am the same way cop make me nervous to due to some bad experience myself. I'm sorry about what happened to you.
