Hi community,

Time flies, and it seems to get faster as we age.

Do any of you believe that:

The Older you are, the more trauma you have, the more you dissociate and therefore, the faster time flies?

Curious what you all think of this?

Thanks,
HD7970ghz

Someone said adulthood is a series of repetitive "to-do" lists until we die. I don't think we "dissociate with trauma as we get older....we process our trauma at a certain age...usually mid-20s to 30s, accept it and move on...get sucked into responsibilities, push into some corner of our memory and don't think about it. Time does fly faster as you get older. There was a youtube snippet I saw about it and what it said was, when we were children, we were learning about our world, everything is new. Time seems slower when there are new things to learn. By adulthood, you have learnt most things you can about the world and strangely that does make time seem to go faster.

Going through trauma and abuse,I was living in fantasy and denial for my survival.Once I realised the suffering is intense and time seems to slow down. The reality is hard to process.
