Yesterday I had to go to a mandatory training with this new person my employer has brought in to *root out* abuse from the powerful people we work for.

It was terrible.

1. She is a complete useful idiot. Everything you said you could see she is the rich wife of someone important who needed some extra spending money.

2. I have suffered abuse at the workplace. But my selfish co workers who have NEVER suffered abuse, all piped up with their stupid bull which is not even close to what we were there for. It secretly made me furious. They don't know what it is like to be abused, and they would poo poo what I went through.

3. My abuser was sneaky. This is why I would say nothing. I want to highlight for her the real problems. Such as..

- My abuser had the ability to schedule my day, including making me stay late for "work related reasons." If I didn't do what he wanted... you want to bet I had to stay late for work related reasons all the time? But none of those work related reasons really had to be done. There was no way to have a life with that. I lost my ability to have a husband and family because he was always demanding that i stay late.

- He never yelled at me but he would make sarcastic remarks in public to embarrass me and ruin my reputation.

- Cruel behavior, such as asking if I wanted to go to a party, and I thought I was going to the party, only to have him announce after I got there that I would be staying behind to do work, and that was what he meant by my going out there.

- As part of my work, and his, we have to watch some disturbing video. The way it is supposed to work is that designated people from another agency come in with the disturbing video on a special laptop that just has that on it. He is supposed to go into a private room with them and watch it. Instead he made me bring the laptop to him and insisted that I bring the video up and start it for him... WHY? WHY? I always took it as demeaning me in a possibly sexual way.

- Impossible task harassment. Setting me up with impossible tasks to make the job needlessly difficult. And then when I failed... which was something anyone would have done in such circumstances... punishing me via making managers come have meetings with me or him just yelling at me. One example, I am the scheduler... for him and he kept the scheduling book in his office, which was 8 floors up and on the other side of a large building. Well how the HECK am I supposed to put things in without mistakes or not having it be accurate on a timely basis. Impossible.

- if I ever told him I had a doctors appointment or anything and I had to leave.. you better believe he would just plow through my doctors appointment and not let me leave. Once I was so sick at work I had conjunctivitis and he didn't let me go until my eye had closed shut.

This is abuse... this is what has to be taken up. We have an opportunity to put in a survey monkey survey... I think I am going to highlight these things. This abuser still works there but in a very little capacity. So it will give them cover to consider these things without having to do anything.

I'm sorry that you are struggling right now. Is there a way to gather evidence and sue for harassment?.
