Default When did you first tell a mental health clinician about your abuse?

It was 1990 for me. I was suffering from devastating post-partum depression. One day, I just went into her office and showed her photos. That's how my journey toward recovery from DID began

I think it was in 2011, in couples therapy.

Want to correct my post, I was tired when I posted it tbh. I said something at that age, but not to a mental health clinician.

I started therapy in my late 20s. I felt ashamed to talk about my abuse as it found it very embarrassing to talk about the fact that my younger sister used to beat me up all the time. The therapy took a wrong path and then I stopped therapy. I started again in my early 30s and talked about it (about 14 years ago).

2010, at my very first session. I had just admitted it to myself about all that happened. I was in denial for 10 something years.
