I am having a difficult time with my brother being in my home. We are all high risk for this virus so we don't go out much. My brother gets drunk every day and it has been getting on my nerves. When I was able to get out it was easier to handle, but now I have a hard time just being around him.

I understand the difficulty of being stuck with an abusive sibling. I wish I had a solution but it is not always easy. My solution was to leave and go my separate way to stop the abuse,

That's such a hard position to be in, with no good solutions. I'm sorry. Stay safe.

I'm sorry to hear you are in this situation. Do you have your own room with a lock on the door? Or is there somewhere else in your home such as a basement where you can hang out where he doesn't go? Or once coronavirus is more under control maybe you can hang out at a local library. Thinking of you during this difficult time.

When he gets on my nerves, I try to keep to myself and stay away from him. He doesn't have any place he can go to, just our place. He is disabled by a spinal cord injury, and won't stop drinking. We would be worried all the time if we made him move.
